During a subsequent photo shoot, the focus shifted from objects to people. I photographed the team of Buchwalder Linder in the midst of their furniture exhibition in Lucerne—surrounded by iconic interiors housed within a historic patrician residence, and in parallel within a raw, newly constructed space on the outskirts of the city.
Placing the employees at the center of the exhibition created a powerful contrast: human presence within carefully curated design, tradition meeting contemporary architecture. The historic rooms conveyed depth, elegance, and continuity, while the unfinished new building offered openness, clarity, and a sense of becoming. In both settings, the furniture acted as a connecting element, anchoring the people within the brand’s design language.
The experience was defined by an exceptional atmosphere. The openness of the team, the interplay between space and personality, and the shared creative focus generated a remarkable positive energy. It was not simply a photographic assignment, but a moment of exchange—where architecture, design, and people came together to form a vivid and authentic portrait of Buchwalder Linder.
