Buchwalder Linder #1

Buchwalder Linder in Lucerne brings together some of the world’s most distinguished interior brands within the walls of a historic patrician residence. The setting itself is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the experience: a place where architectural heritage and contemporary design enter into a quiet, deliberate dialogue.

The visual language of this project was developed through an on-site photographic shoot of the furniture and interiors, carried out by Remo Fella. The photography follows a restrained and respectful approach, focusing on the natural harmony between design originals and their surroundings. Carefully composed arrangements allow iconic furniture, materials, and craftsmanship to unfold within the historic context of the space.

The architectural character of the building—its generous proportions, refined details, and time-worn structures—plays a central role in the imagery. Warm daylight streaming through oversized traditional windows shapes the atmosphere, emphasizing textures and surfaces while reinforcing a sense of timeless elegance.

The photographs were subsequently featured in the Buchwalder Linder Design Book 2012, which was designed by Remo Fella and presented the visual identity of the brand through his imagery. In addition, a selection of his photographic works was exhibited directly within the premises of Buchwalder Linder, allowing the images to engage in a direct dialogue with the interiors they depict.
