Arne Jacobsen chair, ready to walk away (Studio), Zurich 2009, POP coloring 2025
Christine Keeler was photographed naked on the Arne Jacobsen chair No. 3107 in 1963, and the popularity of the chair skyrocketed. The showgirl with simultaneous relations with the British Minister of War and a Soviet KGB agent radiated exactly the myterious aura it takes to establish the reputation of a cult object. Today, this chair model is indispensable in design-oriented offices. The chair on the world-famous photograph happened to be a cheap copy that photographer Lewis Morley bought shortly before the shot. In the photograph of Remo Fella, boots stand for the sexyness that stimulated the notoriety of the object.
